This is my 6th grade battering ram everyone is making one for them selves.Mr.Monroe and the whole class has been studying about them for a little while. They were used by the Assyrian and the Babylonia a long time ago around 1000 b.c.They were fun to make, but they were kinda hard to make, while it lasted it was fun.
Battering rams were used by armies during ancient and medieval times to break holes or gaps in the walls or fortified gates of enemies. Some were mounted on wheels and covered with armored roofs for protection again arrows, spears, and other projectiles. The battering ram was replaced by siege cannons in the 1400s.
